Birth Certificate – Obama’s Unsolved Mystery

by | Mar 19, 2013 | News and Issues

Perhaps you have already heard that patriotic Americans who want to see the country running in accordance with the laws of the nation and the constitution are refusing to accept Barack Obama as the President of the United States. This is because he has been unable to convincingly prove that he is a natural-born citizen of the US. However, why exactly these  people have raised the question about Barack Obama’s natural citizenship? And, why with each passing day, are more and more people supporting their views? Let’s take a quick look at the claims of the protesters:

  • When questions were raised about his citizenship status back in the year 2008, Barack Obama submitted his short-form birth certificate to prove his US citizenship is legal. However, when it was closely examined by some people, there were claims that the document had been digitally or otherwise altered. Some people also commented that they could find a stamped seal of the state on it. Rather, it bore a Photoshopped watermark. Why were there so many irregularities and discrepancies? The question remains unanswered.
  • According to many Americans, President Obama was born in Kenya and he is tactfully trying to prove he was born in Hawaii. His mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, was a natural-born US citizen but his father, Barack Obama, Sr was born in Kenya. Naturally, the location of his birth continues to remain in doubt. When Obama was a child his parents were separated and Obama remained in the custody of his mother. Later, Ann Dunham married again, and this time to a foreigner who was not an American but and Indonesian and she took the child with her to Indonesia.
  • When he was asked to provide his original birth certificate, Obama could not give any proof except for a document that so many people and even experts claim is digitally altered. Naturally, over the years it has become a major issue in the US and many prominent community and business leaders, politicians, and reputed lawyers have supported the view of those popularly called Birthers. According to them, submitting a birth certificate issued in Hawaii does not prove Obama’s eligibility to be the US President because anyone, even a child from another country can get such a birth certificate within a very little time.

Birthers have no objection to the skin color of the US President. They just want to see a legitimate American in the highest seat of office in the country. They want to see an original birth certificate. Obama, however, seems to continue to skirt the issue, keeping it shrouded in mystery.
